I just read on a snapple bottle top that a banana not a fruit but an herb or something? is this real or are the people at snapple lying to me straight to my face?

I have heard that too- anything with internal seeds. Does that include shit like peppers, beans, and cucumbers. What about strawberries- there seeds are on the outside.
