GSP definiutely has a chance. He gave Hughes a really tough match once before. GSP has got way better since then. And I know BJ Penn can kick Hughes ass, He ran all over him the last time they fought.

it wasnt the greatest UFC considering 4 of the 5 fights ended in round 1. im ready for 61 with ortiz and shamrock again. ortiz might as well just kill him this time so the fued will be over.

i havent been paying much attention to ufc the last little while, but Tito and Shamrock are fighting again? why? didnt the first fight prove that Ken is no match for Tito? I know i for one am not looking forward for that again....maybe if the first fight was a close contest, but it was totally one sided. if anything, i wanna see a tito vs iceman fight again.

Yeah, Spike re-ran the Ortiz/Shamrock fight last night. I forgot how bad Ken got pounded. Man, Ken's face looks like it got run over with a truck. He must just want the money. He can't possibly think he can beat Tito again, can he?


And Tito has no chance against Chuck. Tito was so scared to fight him the first time, I don't think he'll even take a rematch. He only took it the first time because he looked like a pussy backing out all those times with stupid excuses.


And that sucks about Royce Gracie. That man is like my idol. It was painful to watch. Maybe he can come back and prove something next time. Or just stay in Pride where he belongs.

Me either. Someone uploaded most of the fights to YouTube right after they happened. They were removed about 24 hours later. It was sweet.

The rules really aren't that different. Though some of them don't make sense. I still don't understand why you can stomp a guy's face in while he's lying on his back, but you can't elbow.

That's irrelevant though. The competition in Pride is much more talented. I'll cut you some slack on the WW division though. UFC does have a few more good WW. Which is sort of the class this fight was. Kinda.

But break down the other classes. Rich Franklin is good. He's damn good. But Silva would eat him alive. Do you think either Arlovski or Silvia has a snowball's chance in hell against Fedor? Hell no!

Mostly the rounds. Pride gives ten min. in the first round, then five min. rounds. Much strategy gets taken out of the fight by shortening the first round so much. Remember, Royce comes from a time when there were no rounds, no judges, no gloves.

Tim Silvia eat Rich Franklin alive? I think you give Silvia too much credit. He's not that great of a fighter, he's just big. I would take Franklin in that match-up any day. Emalianenko would crush Silvia, but Andre/Fedor would be a good fight. Fedor is tough, and I would have to give him the edge in that fight, but Arlovski is an animal and you can't count him out.

Actually, yeah I do. Like I said, Sylvia is slow, akward, and doesn't have near the skill set that Franklin does. I've seen many small fighters whip people in weight classes above them.

Notice he groups these two together because they are dominant (respectively in PRIDE and UFC) in the middleweight division. Also notice he specifically states: 'But break down the other classes'. This is key to understanding that the poster is seperating fighters into their weight classes. Note that Rich Franklin and Tim Sylvia are not in the same weight classes. Moving along...

Another thought:

Here, the poster is saying that PRIDE fighter Fedor Emelianenko can beat UFC fighters Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski. Notice he groups these three fighters together because they are dominant (respectively in PRIDE and UFC) in the heavyweight division.


Crazy, huh? Grouping fighters together in their weight divisions like that? Amazing!

I just saw Ken fight on a Pride fight the other night. I think he was fighting a guy named Charles Fry (Maybe not, but I am still kinda new to this, he was built pretty thick, had a mustache and looked like he was kinda old though). Fry won by a decision, neither guy would tap out though cause they both talked so much shit before the match. It was pretty good, even though Ken seemed to be a little outmatched the whole fight.

Don Frye, maybe?
