Ortiz/Shamrock 3 taking place on Spike TV, October 10th. It'll be Shamrock's last fight as he says, win or lose, he will retire.

why the UFC and Dana White are doing this I dont know. Maybe outta respect to Ken? But I for one dont want to see this lame ass "attempt at a rivalry" fight again. Even if by some chance ken wins, which i highly doubt, what is the whole purpose of it? is there that little of competition in the light heavyweight division that we have to see these two at it again? Shit, let Tito fight someone else, or is it maybe Tito is afraid to fight anyone other then Ken because hes probably the only one in his weight class he can beat, thus he agrees to fight this old timer again?

Well I doubt its going be hyped like the last one, and everyone was disappointed with the last one. So shit, I'll watch a free fight with both of them again.

My buddy forwarded this myspace bulletin to me from Tito.
"UFC asked me to do a favor for all my fans and i did it. The last fight with Ken Shamcock ended in 1:18 in the first round. I was very happy that I stopped Ken that quick, but everyone else wasn't. So you are going to see it again!!! I could have waited until febuary to get my world shot at the world title but I wanted to make all of my fans happy. So I am taking a chance to fight him again for all of my fans. Let the punishment begin October 10th on Spike TV. I will shut him up once and for all!"

Nice. Last fight, I was rooting for Ken. But more importantly, I wanted to see a good fight that night. Even if Ken would have one in the same time, I would have been pissed. I just want a good fight that lasts 3 rounds, and ends with one punch.

UFC was pretty decent tonight. Chuck was a beast, as usual. I'm definitely looking forward to Hughes/Penn on the next one. And Tito and Chuck are fighting in December supposedly. Not a good call for Tito, I don't think.
Anybody know when Rich Franklin is fighting again?

Tito by TKO in the 1st... again. The one good thing to come out of this fight is Shamrock's retirement. He's embarrassed himself enough. The only reason why this is free and "for the fans" is because Dana White knows no one will actually pay to see this fight again. It's all about business.

I think Matt Hughes vs. BJ Penn II will probably be the second most anticipated main event in the UFC this year (behind Liddell vs. Couture III) since the superfight with Wanderlei and Chuck has been called off. Hughes is by far my favorite MMA fighter, and I'm looking forward to seeing him avenge his only loss in the past 5 or so years. WAR HUGHES!!

October 14th at UFC 64: Unstoppable. Rich Franklin vs. Anderson Silva for the MW Championship Belt.

Griffen/Bonnar was pretty decent, too. I think the 3rd match (if they have one) will be good.

Since Vendetta, he's beaten up on Shamrock three times, lost to Liddell and Couture, and won two controversial split decisions. I'm not impressed.
