QUOTE (bx @ Jan 11 2007, 04:17 AM)
Seattle 16
Chicago 13
- Josh Brown wins another one as time expires. Griese comes in with 6:55 to go in the 3rd quarter. Grossman's final stats: 3-14, 37 yds, 4 INT

New Orleans 38
Philadelphia 28
- The Saints go wild on the Eagles shit defense. Sheppard being out really hurts as Brees tosses 4 td's. The road to the Super Bowl goes through Louisiana.

Indianapolis 24
Baltimore 23
- Mr. Manning engineers a two minute drill to perfection, and Mr. Vinatieri bangs through a 44 yarder as time expires to send Indy to the next round.

San Diego 31
New England 28
- In the marquee game of the weekend, Philip Rivers comes out on top as Belichick takes LT21 out of the game as much as possible. He still ends up with two TD's, one on a 83 yard screen pass in which he breaks 14 tackles and dives into the end zone from the 15. Tom Brady engineers a great last-minute drive, but the rookie kicker misses the 35 yarder to send it to Overtime. Brady weeps on the sideline and slashes the GM's throat for not re-signing Vinatieri. No charges were pressed.

Pretty much dead on, except I think Baltimore's gonna beat Indy.

Who dat? Who dat? Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints? drinkup[1].gif

I agree with 1 of 4 of your picks

I totally agree with your pick in the Saints-Eagles game but heres how I think the other games will go down:

Seattle 7
Bears 10
- Despite a terrible performance by Rex Grossman, the Bears engineer just enough offense to win. Shaun Alexander once again proves he is soft when faced with top defenses.

Indianapolis 14
Baltimore 23
- same story as last year against the Steelers. Manning gets smacked around which causes him to lose his rhythm and the run defense proves their stand against the Chiefs was a fluke. The media runs the same damn "when will Peyton succeed in the playoffs" story, failing to realize that TEAMS win championships, not individuals.

San Diego 17
New England 21
- The Chargers may have the best player in football, but they also have a young quarterback who is confused by all the crap Bill Bellichick throws at him. Tom Brady is clutch as usual.

Me - I turn off the TV in disgust because my Colts have once again choked in the playoffs AND the fucking Patriots (whom I hate more than anything) are once again in position to make it to yet another Super Bowl.

You can double it or nothing if you want. Pick which ever one you want against my picks.

I'm picking

Pats over Chargers
Seahawks over Bears.

shit, I think I played two weeks in that league.

Your team sucked anyway. Granted you lost Lamont Jordan and possibly a few others, but I lost Alexander for half the season and one of my QBs to injury and my other original QB (Plummer) was benched and I still finished 2nd. No excuses dood.

1. I don't even remember what exactly the bet was.
2. I didn't even log onto Yahoo Sports after week 2 or 3 because I was involved in 4 other money leagues.

Peyton gift wraps a victory for them and the Ravens refuse to take it. How did Billick ever get a reputation as an offensive genius?

I really enjoy listening to a game broadcasted by Troy Aikman...I think he's the best commentator.
