Im gonna go out on a limb and guess you did not actually try to look for them at HP- the maker of your PC... That is always a good start.

Since I am feeling like being nice and it took me all of 2 seconds, hope this helps

I was ready to agree with AAisforwimps, but then I noticed that they didn't have the adio driver on their drivers page. Interesting. You are running windows XP correct?

Use the HP or Compaq application recovery process to restore audio drivers for your original PC sound hardware. This software utility is part of the recovery software and can be used to restore drivers and software. You can find this application in the start menu under HP Tools, HP Help & tools, Compaq, or Compaq Tools. For more information, refer to Using Application Recovery (Windows 9x, Me, and XP).

If this doesn't work, just find out what sound card your machine has (open the case and find the model number). If the sound card is built into the mother-board, I'll look up the driver for you.

That makes it easy--they use that sounds card all the time. You can get that driver from realtek's website.

Or just dowload them from here:

Good Luck

ugh that was such a blonde moment.
i was thinking commas. clicked on the first link and thought, "what a dumbo, there was an apostrophe in it."
apostrophes arent necessary for reading a post the way it was meant to be read. rolleyes.gif
