All anybody needs to do is educate themselves. Ron Paul is the best candidate out there, if people would only read about him and watch him debate, they would realize who should be the next president.

And tell me how the states are going to be protected when he dissolves the CIA and the FBI. Paul is under some mistaken assumption that if we listen to the terrorists and move all our forces out of the Middle East, Islamic Fundamentalism will be gone and we won't need to defend ourselves anymore.

If Ron Paul had is way, there would be 38 people working for the federal government. He's a 1st class clown and the only reason he's still allowed in the debates is because the other candidates want to be able to attack him so they look better.

Some of his stuff is pretty out there, but some of it makes a hell of a lot of sense. Minus a bit of crazy talk, he is for what Republicans were SUPPOSED to be for- small government that doesn't fuck with it's people, and supporting the constitution. His foreign policy platform is great from what I've heard of it. We absolutely should defend our borders and get out of the middle east. People on this site have been talking for years how Bush's plan is the way to combat terror, and what has it gotten us? Nothing but stupid bumper sticker slogans like "cut and run," and "fight 'em over there so we don't have to fight 'em here," which don't stand up to reality.

Ron Paul probably still doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell, but it's nice to hear a Republican talking about defending the constitution- something that in today's political world will get you called the "L word." Something's wrong when you get criticised for supporting any amendment other than the second.
