This is the Detroit Lions year.
I predict a .500 record or better.
You can't hold them back any longer.

Un-fucking-defeated.

If Jackson hadn't hurt his crotch, it might have been a different story.

The Purple People Eaters gave Kitna a concussion and he still came back to win the game.

Looking forward to tonights game. Looks like we're gonna be w/o both our starting CB's. No worries. Our Safeties can cover the backfield while we knock down ben ben with our line.

Ouch! When are you guys going to fire Billick. His ego is way bigger than his ability. Isn't he supposed to be an
offensive genius?

I'd be an offensive genius if I had the teams he had while in Minnesota. Randy Moss, Cris Carter, Jake Reed, Culpepper, Robert Smith.
Some people have been calling for Billick's head for a couple years. But then we go 13-3 last year and win the division, and you gotta be like, "welp. It's pretty tough to have a better regular season than that." That and with the Super Bowl ring and the fact that we've had a good record in the playoffs under him.
Rant: OK. What I don't get is that we are a team that is all defense, that's what we've always been. Great, not good, defense, a running game and a 10 yard dink to a TE or possesion WR and that's how we play. Where does an "offensive genius" fit into that equation? You want to be an offensive genius? Get me Tom Brady and Randy Moss or Peyton and Marvin - I'll show you offensive genius.
edit: I'm not one who likes to make excuses, but
JackBurton - the Ravens 2 starting CB's, Rolle and McAllister were out and their backups, Ivy and David Patten both suck balls. The safties, Reed and Landry are awesome, but when a CB can't cover a WR to save his ass, and ends up losing his jockstrap on multiple plays, it's hard. You can see Santonio Holmes burn Patten, then Reed is already on some other coverage. Then they flash to Reed and he's all pissed and preaching to the choir.

Some "offensive geniuses" aren't meant to be head coaches, just coordinators.
See: Mike Martz and Norv Turner.

Throw John Gruden in there too. I want him gone, but I want to go to the playoffs this year too

Perhaps, but the Ram offense didn't suck when Martz was the head coach and he is an offensive genius - look at the Lions. The Raven offense has sucked the entire time he has been there. Turner screwed up a good offense in SD this year and the Bucs are no juggernaut either.
