Barry Bonds indicted
finally
When you finally get indicted, the gov't usually has enough evidence where they are in a pretty damn good position to win it in court.
See in ya 20+ years, Barry.
See in ya 20+ years, Barry.
He's not going to jail and if he does itll be for like 12 seconds. He'll plea bargain and that will be that.
who gives a shit. I say, let them use whatever drugs they want. If they want to kill themselves slower, whatever, it makes the games more fun to watch. You think Barry Bonds hitting singles and doubles all day fills the park? Or makes him a nice paycheck?
Remember when a bunch of the Mets were accused of playing high on weed? Who cares? I can't even fathom the number of NBA ballers who played high on coke or weed. I recall that some even admitted to it, but I can't recall right now, cause I'm stoned on hash and ecxtacy.

you know what fuck barry bonds, we all knew this was coming, thing that pisses me off is that i have to hear about it until he does/doesn't go to jail. you know how its going to be, next on sportscenter; we get on our knees for the yankees and barry bonds sneezed in court. after this next commercial break, a-rod went out for drinks last night and barry bonds had an extra long day in court. next on sportscenter barry bonds pulled a needle out of his ass in court and the yankees have a meeting to discuss their next meeting. can't wait for this shit!
that was amazing tv last night, i want to watch the pre-game show for oregon and arizona all they are fucking talking about is a-rod and barry bonds, someone shoot me please.
this whole thing is a witch hunt, as baseball needs a way to wash their hands of the whole steroids issue. Hell, I feel this was the only motivation for Selig to green light the Mitchell investigation to make it appear that baseball as an institution was serious about finding out the truth about steroids. Seeing as Barry is the most prominent player involved in all this, everyone feels that by making him the main scapegoat in all of this, everyone will forget how baseball has turned a blind eye to steroids for the past 20 years.
Tec - You're right, chicks dig the long ball. But there are plenty of players out there who don't take steroids who go yard. (Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder) The game will be just as exciting without the juice. Players can smoke a blunt before playing basketball, but that will hurt their game. Taking steroids improves your ability to hit the ball further and allows you to heal faster. Their is no comparison whatsoever. Kill yourself.
Art - It may be a witch hunt, but the bottom line is that he's used steroids to attain one of the most hallowed records in all of sports and has repeatedly denied doing so, even under oath, which is a crime. Not to mention he's just an asshole all around. Whatever the underlying reasons may be, he deserves to be punished.
Burt - You're so right, hahaha. ESPN loves playing the shit out of every. little. thing.

Correct - it will be like watching grass grow.
Correct - just like Clinton lied under oath. It is laughable that they are charging him for lying about taking steriods but not for taking them. I think thee reason he's being punished is because he's an asshole.
Just turn it off. If you stop watching they'll stop broadcasting.

Oh, I agree 100%. Since he can't really be punished for cheating the game, this is the next best thing, like getting Capone on tax charges when the others couldn't stick. Hell, it's almost like people wanting to see The Juice go down for the stuff in Vegas, seein as they couldn't get him for murder. People want vindication, and since they can't simply remove the record from the books or put an asterisk next to it, this way helps people get some form of justice.

Are you suggesting that the federal government indicted Bonds for perjury and obstruction of justice because they couldn't take away his records?
