What happened to your "he was tortured, so me must be fucked up in the end" argument? I would bet about 999 out of 1000 people don't even know what the "Keating Scandal" was, so congrats on trying to convince that 1 out of 1000 people with that argument. Are you good at anything? Besides smoking pole of course, we've all heard how popular you are at Clud Jade in Tallahassee

i still can't figure out why the democrats love barrack and hillary so much, if they would really like to get someone in the white house they should elect edwards out of the primary, if they did, they would get more republicans to vote that are sick of the same old bullshit. but hey, its politics, who can figure this shit out.

Doesn't matter who the Democrats nominate, they are going to be president.

Come on, you really think so? There's no fucking way this country will elect Hillary Clinton is there?

Huh? George Bush had a huge, steaming pile of fuck ups to cause that statement- however lame it was at the time. What could you possibly have THAT much against Obama?

Holy shit- "Anybody But Huckabee, '08."

What a fucking nutball- hopefully this has the impact of Howard Dean's scream in '04. How could anyone but crazy extreme right wing religious assholes vote for him after this statement?

QUOTE

"I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that's what we need to do is to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family."

I think the only Republicans that stand a chance are McCain and Rudy. No way Huckabee wins, or Romney. Shit, I'd vote for Clinton over Huckabee or Romney!

Why not Romney? I would have thought you'd be alright with him. My nightmare race would be Huckabee v. Clinton. I'd probably have to sit that one out. I'd love to see Obama/Edwards v. McCain/Giuliani. Other than the fact that McCain wants to keep us in Iraq forever, I like him. I like how he told the hillbillies to fuck off again with their confederate flags- that takes some stones at this point in the season. I'm assuming it's not a close race in S. Carolina??

Was it McCain who had the POW photo taken of him flipping off the camera that was the cover of Time Magazine? I've searched but can't find it. Now THAT would be a cool photo to post if anyone can find it.

If people are going to not vote for Hillary, the main reason is going to be that she is a woman. That should not be the deciding factor in your decision.

Clinton is not all that bad of a candidate, if you are in support of an environmentally friendly world. She is strong on the issues presented to her and very intelligent candidate. Unlike Bush, she can actually speak off the top of her head in front of a crowd. The only reason why I just voted for Obama in the primary was the fact that I feel new blood needs to get into the White House. The same two families have been in the White House for the past 20 years.

If Clinton wins the nomination, I will not hesitate to vote for her. She is far better than any of the Republican candidates, excluding Paul. I still hope Ron Paul wins the nomination.

I bet hett voted for Bush both times that he ran.

Ever heard of partisanship? That's a big word, so I bet you haven't. It means people that are conservative, usually don't like liberal politicians...and the visa versa. If I vote against Clinton, it has nothing to do with the fact she has a vagina, it's because I don't agree with her politics.

How much you want to bet I didn't vote for Bush both times he ran? And even if I did, I guarantee it is not some shocking information that people would be surprised about. Similar to the fact that if you admitted you blow other guys nobody here would be surprised.

I can't remember the prisoner's name either, but I do remember seeing in a documentary that Life decided to "cut out" the guy's finger. (hey was extending the middle finger downward, while his hand rested on his knee.) In the doc, the wife of the POW was saying that she had to explain to the kids that daddy's finger wasn't in fact chopped off.

Life magazine cover October 20, 1967

Found this on McCain, only part of a great article.
http://www.azcentral.com/news/specials/mcc...o-chapter3.html

On Christmas Eve 1968, about 50 POWs, including McCain, were herded into a room decorated with flowers for a makeshift church service.
The North Vietnamese were intent on milking the ceremony for every bit of PR value. Cameramen moved around the room, filming the ceremony. Flash bulbs popped in the background.

Meanwhile, McCain and other prisoners were busy exchanging information. One of the guards, conscious that he was being filmed, smiled while he told McCain to stop talking.

McCain cursed the guard and kept briefing another prisoner.

"I refused to go home," McCain said. "I was tortured for it. They broke my rib and rebroke my arm."

McCain pressed on, and the guards kept trying to quiet him.

"Our senior ranking officer is Colonel Larson," McCain said.

"No talking!"

McCain cursed them again and flashed his middle finger toward the camera.

He returned to his cell, where he waited for his beating. It didn't come until the day after Christmas.

He just rubs me the wrong way. He seems so phony. He doesn't inspire me the way McCain or Rudy do now, or the way Bush did. At the end of the day, I probably would vote for him, cause I'm not too far off on some of his policies (or am I? He loves flip flopping). But there is no circumstance where I would ever vote for Huckabee. I could only hope if Huckabee gets the nomination, Bloomberg will run as an independent.

Have you ever been correct on a single thing you've posted here? They aren't going to vote for her because she's been pissing off a large percentage of the population consistantly for the past 16 years. Not to mention the fact that she comes off as totally phony and seems like she'd cut your balls off if she could. BILL Clinton could speak off the top of his head in front of a crowd- she recites the same crap that all politicians say over and over again.

Thanks for finding that pic! I looked for it for about a half hour last night but couldn't find it. That's pretty good stuff. McCain has more balls and integrity than all the other candidates combined. If a couple of his policies were different, he'd be my top candidate without question. I like him though. Anyone who's been through what he has gets my respect.

Any predictions for the nomination on either side at this point? I'm getting the feeling that it's going to be Clinton v. Romney, but I really hope not.

I'm also shocked that there hasn't been much reaction to the lunatic Huckabee remark from the other day. The "liberal media" hasn't even mentioned it. That was HUGE, and I had to search not only "Huckabee" in Yahoo News, but "Huckabee Constitution." I can't believe it's not getting picked up on.
