I have one - they're reliable and easy to use!
Has anyone used a Go 720? I'm wondering how the video playback works on it.

i had one. it sucked. i took it back and got a Garmin. in fairness, it kinda sucks, too, but at least the mp3 player recognizes most mp3s and the actual nav system is better.

Tim, did you have a regular TomTom or a Go 720?
I'm just checking out that 720 cause it sounds killer. Did it not recognize some mp3s?
I've heard all sorts of things about which nav system is truly better... I really just prefer anything that TeleAtlas maps does. Their products have worked seamlessly for me.

i had whichever one is the mp3 player / bluetooth / nav (720?). It didn't play most of my mp3s. The nav system didn't work as well as my Garmin. I don't know the exact details, but if you do some google searches you should find some info on the type of system they use vs Garmin and others.
My Garmin is the same model - mp3 player / bluetooth / nav. It has trouble recognizing some mp3s, too, but not nearly to the extent of the TomTom. My cell phone also works with it, where it didn't with the TomTom, so that's probably something you'll want to research if you plan on using the bluetooth.

Why didn't your GO 720 play the mp3s? Thats weird. I hate bugs.
I was checking to see what else Tele Atlas map data was used in, and I came across the Microsoft Streets and Trips program - have you used that?
GPS is killer to have in the car and on the run, but when I'm at home and I want to navigate something, that program is head and shoulders above Google maps or anything else online.
