Change is some thing which is desired by the people of Texas 22nd Congressional District. This is the time to bring about the same. As the district goes for elections on 4th March, 2008, it is in the hands of the residents of the district to hold the power of change. The district needs a leadership that is new and full of new ideas. The families of Texas 22nd are seeking tax cut and strong fiscal management policies that can help them retain a chunk of the paycheck which otherwise goes away in the form of taxes. The high taxes build financial pressure on many families. There is a need to curb the wasteful spending by the government and utilize it in creating more jobs and stimulating the economy.
The district wants someone who can stand up for their rights and their conservative values. It is time the leadership shifts from the hands of Washington insiders to some one who belongs to the place and has his or her loyalties here. Such a person can understand the day-to-day problems faced by the citizens there and can come up with a useful solution. The government needs to be proactive and efficient. The problem of illegal immigrants is also rampant. There is a need for better laws regarding the same which can be made possible through comprehensive immigration reforms and not simply blanket amnesty.
The district is in search of new leadership and new ideas that can take it to new heights. The ideal representative will be one who can uphold the conservative values of the district and stand up for their rights
The constituency of Texas 22nd has been having a close association with the Republican Party. This is mainly because the party ideologies match the needs of the district. The party which is considered to be conservative stresses the importance of having lower taxes, economic liberalism and social conservatism. The party generally supports lower taxes and limited government in most economic areas allowing for more economic freedom. Lower taxes and economic privatization is crucial for the development of any district. This is exactly what is deserved by the residents of
Texas 22 nd Congressional District of the House of Representatives.
