The big 10 wants to bring in Notre Dame football, but the Irish want to stay independent so they can play a better schedule (example - USC instead of Iowa) year in and year out.
Notre Dame stays independent because they are the only university with their own TV contract and know that if they have a 10 win season they go to a BCS bowl anyway because writers will vote them into the ranking. They would be giving up a multi million dollar TV deal to join a conference sure they make money for bowl games if they go but there is no way to guarantee BCS bowl games for them especially when they restrict their recruits harder than any other BSC school in the country. All athletes at Notre Dame are held to the same admission standards as regular students thats their biggest problem they cant recruit the dumbasses that go to college just to play ball.

agreed. also the BCS conferences get huge amounts of money when their teams go to BCS games. i would like to see the pac 10 add utah and any of the following, byu, hawaii, nevada, or boise st. notre dame needs to fucking give up thinking that their shit doesn't stink, this is a new era, get with it or get the fuck out of the way. anyway, this is all jibber jabber until the fat cat presidents and the other good ole boy network stops getting paid.

I love hearing Big12 homos crying about how Texas should have played Florida and OU shouldnt have gone because of head to head. It doesnt matter what peice of crap Big12 team Florida plays the result would be the same. Texas struggled to beat an overrated Ohio State team and Mississippi showed everyone whats up with Texas Tech. Cant wait for next season I will give up watching anymore NFL NBA MLB and college basketball this year to see college football start again next saturday.

Florida didn't show anything special against OU. USC and Utah have just as good a claim to #1 as they do. College football is a joke without a playoff system.

Florida didnt show anything against OU is one of the dumbest things you can possibly say. Floridas defense dominated the best offensive line in the country they were all over Bradford they held the highest scoring offense in the history of collge football to 14 points. Tim Tebow put the offense on his back and ran for over 100yds while passing for almost as much as Bradford with far less attempts. Florida would do the same thing to USC and Utah USC was single handedly beaten by Jaquizz Rodgers with a little help from his brother Percy Harvin Chris Rainey Emanuel Moody and Brandon James are all even faster than Jaquizz Rodgers Florida doesnt have a RB or WR on their roster that cant run a 4.4 they are hands down the fastest team in the country and nobody can match it. Utah runs the same offense as Florida with players who arent as fast or as strong they dont have anyone that compares to Tebow or Harvin they run all over and around Utah all day. Utah beat an Alabama team that was completely uninterested in playing that bowl game they didnt give a crap about the game that day and played their worst game of the season. USC won a bowl game vs a BIG10 team big deal the BIG10 sucks.

Florida beat Alabama by 9 and was trailing going into the fourth quarter. The "Alabama was uninterested" is bs. Utah handled them easier than Florida did and that's a fact. You can slob Tebow's knob all you want, Utah and USC both have just as good a claim as Florida.

theres only one crystal ball and for anyone to say what florida did do anything special or doesnt deserve it is just fucking retarded and you obviously know dick about football and should refrain from ever trying to talk about the game again its disgracefull. superior athletes superior talent you obviously dont recognize whats real florida proved they are the best team utah and usc both play in weaker conferences its not a big deal for a team like alabama to be riding high all year get beat then not show up at all for a bowl game they didnt give a damn about for top teams in the SEC you dont care about meaningless bowl games if you are a top 5 SEC program your goal is not the SEC championship or Sugar Bowl its the BCS championship game anything else is a consolation game more people watch the SEC championship game than the sugar bowl. dont give me alabama was over rated all year you dont go 8-0 vs the SEC by being over rated. utah is over rated they play a watered down version of Meyers offense with players that would be 3rd string on florida. lets not mention florida has a top 5 defense its not all about the offense that averaged around 45pts per game you have have your head up your ass to discredit anything florida has done this year and actually believe the bullshit youre spewing

I agree that college football is a joke and I agree that USC and Utah have a legitimate claim to be #1. I don't think it's an equal claim, but it's at least arguable. UF beat the #1 team back to back games, USC played an overrated PSU. But to say UF didn't show anything against OU is as dumb as saying there is no doubting UF can beat any team in college football! Holding one of the best offenses in college football history to 14 points is certainly showing something special. Forcing the Heisman winning QB to throw 2 INT's and force 2 turnovers in the Red Zone is certainly showing something special. I'd love to hear what your definition of "special" is?

Yes UF was trailing as the 4th Quarter started, but UF held leads in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters! Anybody that watched that game would know that. Sounds like to me you got the highlights that really only mentioned UF's 4th quarter comeback.

You seem to think that just because you say something that makes it correct. I didn't say Florida didn't deserve it, I said that USC and Utah both have legimate claims. Anyone with an open mind would agree with that statement. I don't understand why someone with yours skills isn't coaching a big time college football team.

Not sure if Pioli will do well in the Chiefs system. We won't be able to see his impact if any right away if he decides to keep Edwards but alternative coaching names worth talking about are few.

pretty sure the "chiefs system" for the last 20 years is gone, in his first open forum he spoke about the patriots way. so i'm excited. as long as herm is gone, he lives right off 18 green of my country club, thinking about dropping off some moving boxes tomorrow.
