Oh sarcasm --- I love you so.
10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage Is Wrong For America1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behaviour. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans

People who can't form coherent sentences shouldn't marry either.

Or be allowed to breathe. Especially when they try to make an argument that was previously addressed.

As I have said before if we start with gay marriage, how long will it be before polygamy is allowed?

Well it would fit a "biblical model" of marriage. I recall Abraham having 900 wives.
I think this even being an argument is stupid. I agree it is impossible to make churches marry same sex couples. I however see no reason why a civil union is not recognized by the states. If 2 people go to a courthouse and get married, religion is no way tied into that marriage. This is not a religious issue. This is an issue of ignorance by closemided people who don't like things different than the norm. Gays aren't asking for anything different than a straight couple. They want to have the SAME rights as everyone else.

I think the government is worried about giving gay couples the same tax breaks it gives straight couples. That would cost the federal government alot of money in tax revenue.

I don't think it would really make a huge difference.

Does everyone realize that the arguments used against gay marriage are quite similar to a mere 40 years ago when they were attempting to legalize interracial marriage. Forty years from now, today's opponents to gay marriage will be seen as just as crazy as those opposed to interracial marriage in the sixties.

Exactly, and at what point down the road, do people start saying why is it impossible for three people to all love each other, and if they are in love, why should they be punished, and not allowed to get married like couples?

Why are they connected? Where is the group or movement wanting that? This is about legal status and the justification of legitimate relationships. You probably would have been the guy forty years ago saying the same thing about interracial marriage. No one wants to marry a goat, no one wants to marry a rock, we are talking about two people who love one another. Tell me a single way that gay marriage would affect you or anyone else if it were allowed.

You are correct. If same sex marriages were legalized income tax revenues would go up, at least at the federal level.
