Actors have done stupid things before for promotion and I wouldnt consider him some kind of "A list" actor to where someone would talk him out of doing a stunt like this. If the guy flinched, ran or even just took a step to the left as a speeding car was coming I would have believed it more. He stood there as if he knew what was going to happen and it was a controlled situation. Maybe it was a stunt car from the movie..I dunno -
I understand they could gain a lot by publicity. In movies there are stunt doubles and special effects for every dangerous situations, in order to protect the actors from injury. I doubt a movie producer, Eddie's manager, Eddie's publicist, or the movie's publicist would put the safety and life of an actor at risk, in addition to losing the privilage of owning an Enzo (if you own one and it gets totaled, regardless of who's driving, Ferrari will not sell you another) over publicity when there are movie trailers running all over network tv and in movie theatres. -
